Hello
Some of you may have noticed we have made a small price increase on our bottled beers. This is a decision we havent taken lighlty and I thought it would be useful if I gave you a brief explanation as to why we have done this.
First up; production costs. Almost every aspect of the brewing process has seen a price rise this year. Ingredients like malt, hops and yeast have all risen significantly. Energy prices for gas and electric are up, and consumables like cardboard and packaging have headed the same way.
Recently the CO2 shortage has had a big impact on our bottling process. The bottling plant we use has been struggling to get supplies and when they have had deliveries, you guessed it, the price has jumped. They have in turn passed these costs on to us.
We have done our best to soak up these price increases for as long as possible, but unfortunately we now have to put an increase on the finished product.
Our bottle prices havent moved for 8 years, so hopefully you can see this isn’t something we do willingly.
As always thank you for your continued support and we hope you are still able to enjoy our beers as you always have done.
